WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) Workshop
Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, eligible adults (18 or older) and dislocated workers (18 or older) can receive financial aid assistance to help pay for the cost of training (tuition, books, supplies, tools, and related costs) to attend post-secondary training providers approved by the State of Ohio. Click here to see the available training that WIOA can provide.
In order to be on the WIOA program you must attend a WIOA Workshop (which explains the program), and the steps required to be accepted on the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program. You will need an up-to-date resume. You must complete an interest and aptitude assessment. You will then need to complete two forms, which are given to you at the Workshop. The assessment and resume can be completed early. We can assist you with creating a resume.
If you are interested in WIOA training funds, you can CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THE WIOA APPLICATION online and email it directly to OhioMeansJobs Jefferson County.
Following the completion of the above online WIOA Application, you will be contacted by a WIOA representative who will reserve a spot for you at the next available Workshop.
